A BIT ABOUT ME...
My name is Jana Melichova and I am a Czech professional golf player. Growing up in Pikovice, near Prague, I pursued many sports since childhood until I fully committed to golf.
Since 2013 I have been a part of the Czech National Team, during which, I represented the Czech Republic in various international tournaments.
After finishing high school, Gymnázium Oty Pavla, I begin my studies at the Old Dominion University in Virginia. I was representing ODU on the NCAA Division 1 Women’s Golf tournaments and earning a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Economics in May 2022.
A month after my return from college, I have rewritten the history of Czech golf, becoming the first amateur player to win a prestige professional Ladies European Tour tournament in Beroun and earning a full card for the seasons of 2022 and 2023.

Awarded Freshman of the Year in 2019

One individual win and 8 times positioned in top 3

During my time at ODU, I have earned a first position on the team and the best team results in the history of the ODU Women’s Golf program.

The biggest achievements I marked during my senior year, when I qualified as an individual into the NCAA Regional Championship and then to NCAA National Championship, a peak of the college season and one of the most prestige amateur tournaments in the States

On the NCAA National Championship, finished on a historical 13. position and achieved All-American honours.
WINNING LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR TOURNAMENT IN CZECH

Milestone in my golf carrier - being invited as local to this LET tournament, was an honour, but the surprise when I won it, over all those professional players. It was indescribable feeling!
That was the day, I decided - to become professional in golf.

It looks very funny today to look at this picture. I actually look like a daughter following a mother on the tournament. Where I'm simply the youngest of the players being 11 years old, very young compare to the rest of the players. But those were my starts !
